Badgers - Year 6
WELCOME TO YEAR 6!
Welcome to Badger Class' page. The class teacher in Badgers is Mr B Blake, supported by Mrs S Tyler and Miss Haynes.
Our PE lessons will be on Tuesday afternoons with Premier Sport and Friday mornings with Mr Blake. Children should bring appropriate outdoor kit for both lessons as our activity types will change half-termly. A rough timetable of our normal weeks is uploaded to our class page. Please note that lesson timings and the days they are taught may vary.
Mr Blake will make use of Google Classroom to communicate weekly spellings, our current fridge words for use and discussion at home and Badgers' weekly homework. Children will have the login details for this provided in school. Mr Blake also has records of the children's individual AR logins if needed.
Homework will be set once weekly on Tuesdays, made from 1x Maths activity and 1x English-focused activity. These tasks are to be completed in time for the following Tuesday when they will be reviewed in class. Please do not print homework tasks off from Google Classroom as these will not be accepted in class and all activities should be completable online.
Our topics covered in the Autumn Term are 'The Animal Kingdom' and 'Energy'.
Here is our timetable for the Autumn Term (subject to change).
I am really looking forward to an exciting and jam-packed school year in Badgers. I hope that the children are as excited as I am to make a start on this term.
