School Governors

Maya Bullen
(Chair)

I became a parent governor in 2018 because I wanted to be involved our local community, and have a say in the school’s strategy and future plans. I want to help ensure that Paddocks continues to be an excellent primary school for all of its pupils. I was elected to the role of Chair of Governors in November 2020.

Kay Pearce
(Vice Chair)

Since starting my governor role I have held the position of parent governor and Local Authority Governor. I am currently in the role of Vice-Chair, which allows me to assist the Chair of Governors, along with other responsibilities which include governor for Maths. I have had a long connection with Paddocks, as both my children attended the school. Being a governor allows me to give back to the school for the education and care they gave my family, as well as making sure pupils of today and in the future have the best education they can have in a caring, safe environment.

Michael Lowther

With both of my children attending Paddocks, I wanted to be involved as much as I could with their school journey. Whilst helping out with clubs and events was rewarding, I felt that I could give a little more back to the school which had already given my children a great start.I  became a Parent Governor in 2016 to fulfil my ambition.

Alan Jensen

As a recently appointed co-opted governor, I'm looking to learning and developing into the role. I am really keen to be able to support the school in realising its vision, and strategic aims, as well supporting the school with its commitment to providing a quality education to all pupils.

Alex Andreou

I have two children at Paddocks, and became a Governor to be to give back to the school some of my experience in business. I have a real interest in supporting our most vulnerable students to achieve a great education.

Philip Smith

I was appointed co-opted governor in September 2020. Paddocks is a great school and I am delighted to be involved. I am very much looking forward to helping the team to achieve their goals in providing an excellent education, focussed on child-centred learning in a happy environment.

Pauline Mitchell

As a parent with two young children at primary school, I am invested not only in their education but also in that of other children.

My passion for education inspires me to want to help and support the school by providing some insight and external perspective that could potentially help the school achieve the best educational outcomes for all its pupils.

I believe in supporting the community that children grow up in because adults can have a positive influence over the lives of all children.

Having experience in education has enabled me to have the confidence to offer my assistance in any way I can.

I am also open to expanding my own learning as well as applying my knowledge for the benefit of the community at large.
