Supporting Children's Language Development

At Paddocks Primary School we recognise the importance of children's language development in supporting and enabling good progress with their learning.  There is strong research that demonstrates how this vision is an effective method in ensuring that all children, including those with SEN or those pupils who have English as an additional language (EAL), make excellent attainment.

It is essential that parents and home are closely involved in a collaborative role to help support children with their language.  Therefore, we recently held a workshop to help promote our school's aim, in addition to providing and sharing best practice in supporting children's language development.

These slides were used during the workshop and give effective guidance on how home life can help support their child with developing their language and communication skills.
